About

The Solar Planner provides detailed information about solar electric systems and photovoltaics (or PV for short). You'll find tutorials, links to businesses, videos, apps, downloadable guides and available tax incentives all in one place. The material here is furnished free as a service sponsored by TheCityEdition.com

If you're planning a PV system for your home, it's recommended that you confer with or hire a certified solar installer or licensed electrician to do the work. Be sure your contractor is licensed, provides a service warranty and carries insurance (sometimes called a construction bond) in case there's an accident or property damage during the installation.

You'll find a directory of contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, local regulating authorities, state and federal agencies, nonprofit organizations and job boards on the links page. Use the site map to explore specific topics.
